Troy is a born and bred Hawke’s Bay local. Having been a TB Vector (possum) monitoring contractor and Hawke’s Bay Representative for the QEII National Trust for ten years, Troy has visited many properties and crossed paths with landowners in the region.
He continues with the QEII role which fits well with his Regional Adviser for Trees That Count work and his pest control work.
With a horticulture background he has been involved with trees in different ways all his life. His attraction to the outdoors, fishing, hunting and the mountains has lead him to native trees from fruit trees.
Troy is currently a committee member on the recently established Hawke’s Bay Biodiversity Guardians along with Hawke’s Bay Biodiversity Foundation to implement the Biodiversity Strategy Action Plan established for the region in 2017.
As well as the above a young family and piece of land keeps Troy occupied.
